The start of 2014 already seems a dim and distant memory. Over the past 3 weeks we have been busy preparing for our Stage 2 audit for ISO/PAS 28007:2012. Having successfully completed Stage 1 in November, we have continued to work hard towards ensuring compliance with this new Maritime Security Standard.
The certification is being embraced by the industry as a way of ensuring high standards and watertight processes to ensure the safety of transits and crews against piracy at sea.
Friday 24th January is a date that we will always remember — it was the day that we received official confirmation that we are one of a very few select organisations who have successfully achieved ISO/PAS 28007:2012 certification.
We have been focused on achieving this standard in order to be able to officially demonstrate to the industry what our existing clients already know — that we are a professional and highly competent provider of maritime security services. Some of the key benefits of achieving this certification include: formal recognition of our security management systems, enhanced credibility with clients and flag states, and confirmation that our operational procedures meet internationally recognised standards.
